From the end of August until end of November, I am invited to work in Kair (an artist in residence) in Kamiyama, Japan. As Kamiyama means God mountain, there is also Shosan-temple which is well known as the 12th temple from Shikoku 88 pilgrimage. I am very much spiritually inspired by working in the middle of the mountains. The result of this residency, I am planning to exhibit in an old Sake factory in town. If you are near it would be nice to see you there!
I am going to update Kamiyama life at sayakamiyama.
We are aslo working on food project with Whatelesevideo, Nozomi Kume(Fashion designer),Mika Sawairi(Food coordinator) and me. More detail at 100 days in Kamiyama at Awa Cafe in Kamiyama!
Its for the weekend, there is a nice art event in Aalsmeer kunstencultuuraalsmeer with art work throughout the whole city as well as in Historische Tuin in Aalsmeer.

In Burma, three interviews in Yangon by Whatelsevideo.com Interviews with three Burmese painters. Video made in collaboration with We women foundation in Chiang Mai, Thailand and Pansodan Gallery in Yangon, Burma. Later in 2012 Amsterdam there will be an auction of several Burmese artists from Pansodan gallery to raise support for We women foundation who work with Burmese refugee women in Thailand. The video was produced with the aim of helping support the auction.

Home-Work in China 48 MIGRANTS OF XIAMEN Home-Work
From 21st of May to 27th of June 2012, Home-Work was invited to work together with the students of the interior design department of Xiamen University. Through a combination of different disciplines - Graphic design, Photography, Product Design and Fine Art, we conducted research together with 48 students about what 'HOME' means. We asked them to visualize their HOME though sketches, photos or making temporary exhibitions. The result was a photo-shoot of the 48 students shown with their own wearable objects, inspired by their favourite object and presented in our book 48 migrants of Xiamen. The book gives an informal but unique and honest insight into a new generation of Chinese people.
